Ankle Sprain

An ankle sprain is when the ligaments in your ankle are stretched passed their capacity. This cab be a result of either twisting or rolling your ankle. Their are three types of ankle sprains; inversions ( results from rolling the foot outward), eversions (results from rolling the foot inwards), and High (results from twisting of the foot). No matter what kind of sprain you have the best treatment is rest, icing, elevation of the injured ankle, and bracing of the joint. Depending on the severity of the sprain steroid injection or surgery may be necessary. (See doctor before beginning any advanced treatment)

Tendonitis

Tendons are the fibrous bands of tissue that connect your muscles to your bones. Sometimes when a tendon is overused or not stretched properly it can become inflamed. This is know as Tendonitis. Symptoms can include swelling in the area of the inflammation, stiffness (if it is in a joint), and an acute burning sensation. Common treatment for tendonitis includes icing, bracing, stopping the activity that caused the pain, stretching, and lots of rest.
